Cautionary tale

Here's what employers supposedly like about temporary foreign workers:
Dan Kelly, president of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, recently told CBC News that many Canadian employers feel that temporary foreign workers have a better work ethic than Canadians and that there are some jobs in some regions that Canadians do not want to do.
Better work ethic?  What tripe! Here's what I think employers actually like about those temporary foreign workers - they aren't likely to be talking to a union anytime soon.

The point to jobs filled by temp foreign workers is that free market within Canada is telling the corps that the wages are too low for such shitty jobs. Can't get workers to stay on the kill floor at Maple Leaf? You aren't paying nearly enough for how dreadful the job is. Market says, pay more or I'm not working there. Our government, supposedly in favour of the free market interferes by bringing in outsiders. If free markets are supposed to really operate, then the jobs need to be paid according to what the market demands. Probably at least double what they are now. Oooops. Free market is only for what corps can CHARGE, not what the market demands that they pay.

Sad but very true anon 12:25 am the government is purposely sidelining the free market against labour undermining its position and rigging it for the corporations to get out from under their social contract to play fair and make those jobs enticing to the Canadian labour pool by paying decent human wages.

I refuse to spend my money at businesses that share an unfair contract with the illegal Harper government to pick on the poor nations of the world to do shit jobs for nothing because its better than they get at home, here they are still being discriminated against by our juveniles business sector that sees them as meat to fill a vacancy. They could not care less for them except it helps aids and abets them not to share profits.

Yes! Exactly. I know a whiny fast food guy who bitches and moans that he can't fill positions because the parents of the kids in his area are too rich. If no one wants to work at your crappy A&W for minimum wage, you need to raise the wage and maybe don't go on 6 golf vacations.
