A national embarrassment

Demonstrators clash with police at the corner of University Avenue and College Street, near Queen's Park as the G20 summit begins in Toronto, Saturday, June 26, 2010. (Brett Gundlock/ National Post)
The Harper Cons think the role of the police is to protect their delicate fee-fees?
Along with terrorism and organized crime, “embarrassment to the Canadian government” was considered one of the threats facing security forces at the G8 and G20 summit meetings in Ontario 2010, according to newly released military records.
It was the way police acted that turned out to be the national embarrassment.
That, and the millions the Cons wasted.

Shocking! We have never had such a thing in Canada before! It's all a new Conservative ideologically driven form of violence:

And certainly no other government would try to do anything dirty to cover up their tracks...

Paging Andy Scott!

It's too bad most Liberal supporters today were 12 when their party last held power. memories are so short these days.

If you really cared, which I think you dont, you'd be hammering away at a certain Liberal Ontario Provincial Premier who basically was in charge of Security at the G8 and G20. Thats if you actually cared about getting to the bottom of all of this, but, you really dont so carry on with the political rhetoric that fewer and fewer are listening to.

If you close your eyes and pretend that the point of Cathie's post was to express surprise, and that the post was about Police violence rather than the classification of Government embarrassment as a "security threat", Rat's comment totally shows how silly the post is!
