This is amazing 

Bobby McFerrin leads an audience in singing Ave Maria:

He's really quite an impressive guy. He seems to take delight in having his audiences prove their own musicality. Here he is hopping around and getting all pentatonic.

I loved his encouragement of people who didn't know it. Also, saying that people who did know it should act like group leaders for the people around them -- it made for a very friendly atmosphere.

Saw the pentatonic scale demo on a TED talk. Loved it.

If you don't know TED.com, you are missing something grand. There's a talk there that explains something very interesting about the word entries below that we have to make to verify that we are humans and not bots. Turns out that one word verifies our humanity. The other is a mob sourcing project in which books are being translated to make them available on the internet tubes.
