I suspect this is just wistful thinking, but isn't it delightful that it maybe might be true?
Yeah, probably not:I can't stand Poilievre but Doug Ford? He's the dopiest fucker outside of Smith ,and Ferrari perhaps.

What does that say about the party when Premier Lardass is the best they can come up with?
But Ford likely couldn't do a worse job than Poilievre is doing now: "I'm not the Prime Minister" - ya got that right, buddy! If you’re going to say this, put up or shut up: groomed by who, what is the evidence, how are they going to get Poilievre to drop out

“Who from Trump’s transition team have you or your party been in touch with since the US election?”
“I’m not the Prime Minister.”

PP may be ousted before the next election, but the idea that Ford will replace him is silly. Ford doesn't speak French and has made no effort to learn it. Parties don't win national elections without winning Quebec ridings, and a leader who can't hold his own in a French language debate is toast. That's why the Cons flopped under Scheer and O'Toole despite winning the popular vote. PP, on the other hand, is a bilingual leader from Alberta, which makes him gold in the rebranded Reform party.
Yes, Cap, that's what I would have thought too, but it seemed like some people want it to happen, probably because Ford has demonstrated he can win elections.
