So I decided earlier this week to add Salon.com to the new links on my blogroll.
Then they publish this ridiculous piece of Drudge-report link-bait, apparently because they thought they should be contrarian about Obama's fine Trayvon Martin speech.
Then they published this ridiculous piece of tripe about how Ted Cruz could beat Hillary for president, which is stupid on so many levels, not the least because Cruz was born in Calgary and isn't even eligible to run for president anyway so who cares.

What's fine about Obama's Trayvon Martin speech?
try these two:
I'm not a big Gawker fan

Without speaking critically of police or courts, he told white people the context within which black people are dealing with the Martin case and he articulated the fears they have for their sons. He didn't minimize the issue of black-on-black violence. He explained why Stand-your-ground laws are so divisive. He encouraged Americans to continue to work on reducing their racism, and expressed continued confidence in the future. All in about 15 minutes.
I used to like Gawker very much, but its deteriorating these days.
Yes, Salon can be a confusing place.
You should post your disappointment on Salons' site.
