A wonderful allegory.
My first reaction was what happened to B.D.'s helmet? So I looked it up, and discovered that B.D. hasn't worn a helmet since 2004. This was about the time that I cancelled my newspaper subscriptions, and in doing so gave up my long addiction to Doonesbury. I spent some of the afternoon getting caught up with what I'd missed. Thanks, Cathie!
Thanks Cap and Anon -- I haven't followed Doonesbury lately either and I'm not sure why because every time I see it I enjoy it too!
