Cole Bennett / Cole.notcoleWhat newcomer Mark Carney did in this election is unparalleled. It's like a rookie joining a last place team and then leading them to the Stanley Cup in his first season. #cdnpoli #canpoli #CanadaStrong

Canada Strong: A New ChapterAn excellent summary here:
...Mark Carney’s campaign was built on a simple but profound promise: Canada Strong.
Not strong because of bluster.
Not strong because of anger.
But strong because of fairness, integrity, and the belief that the success of one should lift the success of all.
Across every province, in small towns and big cities alike, Canadians said:
We are stronger when we care for one another.
We are stronger when we protect our environment and build a future worthy of our children.
We are stronger when leadership means service, not spectacle.
... Canadians proved something to themselves and to the world:
Our democracy is not for sale.
Our country is not for rage.
Our future is not for fear.
It is for all of us. Together.
It is for Canada strong, free, and forever forward....

Blowing a 25-point lead in the polls to a guy who’s never run for public office in his life is quite the legacy.

Justin Trudeau should just congratulate Mark Carney with a private call.
Then, instead of saying ANYTHING publicly, he should post a 30 second video of himself smugly eating an apple. https://t.co/hcWOlWiSkw
Trump now knows he has to deal with Carney - he must be terrified now:Poilievre vows to stay on as party leader for reasons of being otherwise unemployable #CanadaVotes #cdnpoli

Donald Trump is now so unpopular that he’s losing elections in OTHER countries.

"His victory will also be greeted around the world as a sign that centrist, internationalist politics can succeed electorally in the age of Trump." https://t.co/8DMbJxxGgj via @ft

Sure did!
Carnie did well mainly due to the Conservatives incompetence.
For Poilievre to lose his own seat shows arrogance , misjudgement and stupidity.
Not the attributes I want in a PM.

Actually, I thought Carney ran a good campaign - he was effective, though he isn't a charismatic person. He dialed it back a bit too much in the last 10 days, after the Advance Polls, and that allowed Poilievre to claim the "change" slogan. But luckily there wasn't enough time left for Poilievre to really change his spots.
