Sunday Funday: Windmills, doomscrolling, and all the other crazy stuff going on, plus TrumpWatch and Animal Crackers

A good idea for responding to the tariffs:
Here's a good one, too:

These ugly windmills are killing the motherf*€king whales 🐳 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ€£

I love this:

According to man running the gas pump in Mankota, Saskatchewan, the number of Canadians driving through has doubled this year, exploring Canada (elbows up!). Husband signed his guest book. Leaving SK now and heading to Manitoba πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

A good cartoon about Poilievre's upcoming election:
Poilievre's uncomfortable debate for the Battle River-Crowfoot byelection was the same night that Trudeau went out to dinner with Katy Perry.

Still harbouring a one-sided rivalry with Justin Trudeau, Pierre Poilievre was spotted in the front row of an Iggy Azalea concert held at an abandoned Sears.

Looking at it one way, this is awful. But also, hilarious:

After Trump demanded that Director of the Bureau of Labour Statistics be fired because her Friday jobs report didn't lie about the small number of jobs his crappy economy created, I'm seeing that "Demanding he be fired!" has become a meme:

The doctor told me my HDL was 40 and my LDL was 160. I demanded he be fired and replaced with a doctor that would find my HDL higher than 60 and my LDL lower than 100. Is that what we’re doing now?

The cashier at the grocery store told me my total for groceries was $173.34. I demanded they be fired and replaced with a cashier who will tell me I only owe $40. This is what we’re doing now, right?

My niece struck out in softball, so she demanded the coach be fired.

The new Director of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, John Barron, has revised the jobs numbers for the last three months up from 106,000 jobs to "seventy trillion billion jobs."

(If you remember, "John Barron" was one of Trump's pseudonyms.)

Son of Sharpie-Gate:

Nobody is impressed with Trump's grandiose, expensive and unnecessary ballroom either:

I was under the impression the White House already had a ball room in which they stored the testicles of all the Republican men in Congress.

On totalitarianism not coexisting with a free press . . . this is a misunderstanding. The big networks and internationally known newspapers are not mistakenly thinking a free press can coexist with a fully developed Trumpian government. They're auditioning for the position of "enslaved press".
