Announcing that I am "Radical Left Scum" too

Not a lengthy post tonight, but I just have to join the thousands online who are announcing themselves as "Radical Left Scum" following Trump's crazy Christmas Eve rant:

"Radical Left Scum" What an asshole he is.

Do I need a separate membership card to be Radical Left Scum, or will my ANTIFA card suffice?

I was discussing this X-mas message with my Poilievre's-too-liberal, Trump-loving BIL at the family Christmas gathering. I said, "who the hell talks like this? He sounds crazy." BIL, of course, views this as "crazy like a fox" and goes on about "the weave," which is some ridiculous explanation for why Trump can't string a simple thought together. There's just no getting through to the hard-core Maple MAGA.

You know, sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be on the other side, to believe that Biden was senile, that Trudeau was a traitor, that Trump won in 2020 and has a secret plan to save America, that QAnon was right about everything. There's a definite attraction to thinking that someone has it all figured out, that someone is in charge.

You got it Cathy
Most look at things until they find a simple explaination that they already agreed with which explains everything they suspect and thus have an opinion. Very few do a deep enough study to find out why they are 100% wrong when venturing beyond the jingle politics (e.i. ax the tax )

Someone DOES have it all figured out. That would be me. :D

Unfortunately, I'm not in charge. Worse still, part of what I've figured out is that no single person should be in charge. So I'm caught in a paradox: I know what should be done, so I should be in charge to make that happen. Unfortunately, if I'm in charge, what should be done by definition hasn't been done. What I need is for everyone to be convinced by my brilliant political ideas to do, in concert, roughly what I would do. Chances seem slim--even the first step of getting anyone much to hear about those ideas is a tough one. Oh well, happy New Year!
