I've seen a few pundits call what the Habs did today a rope-a-dope attempt. I don't think that makes sense. A rope-a-dope is purposely ceding ground and defending so your opponent gasses themselves. I think that take discredits how good Carolina was tonight defensively. The Habs weren't sitting back

From what I saw, the Habs were absolutely trying to create offence, they weren't ceding ground. The Habs played very aggressive defensively, but when the puck was on their sticks they couldn't find routes through Carolina's structure. This was more of a chess match than rope-a-dope.

CFL pre-season games are going on now and this Rider game with Winnipeg was at Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon.

SASKATCHEWIN That’s gotta be one of the better CFL preseason games I’ve witnessed. Riders win a thriller 31-27 over the Bombers with a late touchdown. Sold out crowd in Saskatoon erupts. Great day at Griffiths Stadium.

To put into perspective, his ticket, priced at $700, wasn't courtside. His seats would have likely been above the box seats. This was not a premium spot for a well known public figure, this is where the average Knicks fan who could afford playoff tix would've been sitting. #FucktheNYPost
