Today's news: I wonder what's gone wrong

 As I was reading Twitter tonight, I saw some posts from people I respect who are very worried about what is happening now with the Ottawa Occupation and at the Ambassador bridge crossing. 

Today was the day when we expected the bridge crossing blockade would be dismantled. And in Ottawa, it was anticipated that police enforcement against the occupation would start to show some results. 

It doesn't appear to be happening. 

Instead police seem to be standing around, or standing down, intimidated, frightened, or perhaps even taking the side of the FluTruxKlan even through their paycheques are still signed by the City of Ottawa.

A pivotal moment.

I remember when Pat King was leaving Alberta he said he wasn't worried about the police causing them any problems and that stuck me as such an odd thing to say.

I think we can't rule out a third thing, which is police support or at least sympathize with the convoy. Genuinely couldn't say with any certainty what ratio the three are in, though.

This is starting to look like a slow-motion fascist coup, a January 6, 2021 where the police are letting it happen, aimed at ending the Trudeau minority government. It is the most severe attack on the legitimacy of the state and its democratic supports in our history.
