Another day for thoughts and prayers

Another day of Republican thoughts and prayers.
Its also distressing to note that cartoonist Michael de Adder at the Washington Post posted this cartoon a week ago (following the Cleveland Texas massacre) not yesterday (following the Allen Texas massacre). Unfortunately, there are just too many mass shootings to count.
Here's a comment from Brittlestar: And from Chris Rock:

This blog post is a poignant and powerful commentary on the tragic reality of gun violence in America. The author effectively conveys a sense of frustration and despair at the endless cycle of mass shootings and the inadequate political response. It is a call to action for readers to demand meaningful change.

Pretty hard to get too worked up about a chronic problem neither party has the resolve to fix. Since the Clinton assault weapon ban expired in 2004, the US has averaged a mass shooting every day. Last year alone, there were 647 mass shootings!

While Democrats, not without reason, blame the lack of gun control on Republican judges and politicians, let's not forget that Obama and Biden both had two years of unified Democratic control of Congress, and did nothing to fix it. Yes, yes, blame Manchin and Sinema, but don't forget both were Democrats. The gun lobby is smart to cover their bets and figure out who's on the take in both parties.

there is too much money to be made out of guns and so I see no change in gun laws in the U.S.A. unless of course the politicians and their families become victims of shooters, or the financial elite or millionaire class.

The first rule of business for any political party is to stay in office. Both parties are following the rule. The dead are children who don't vote and their parents usually are not people with influence.

It was nice to see one of the teeangers who was a leader after the slaughter of kids in the Parkland shooting is now in the Leg. in Florida.

Things may change as the children who are being shot at become voters.
