That said, there is other NHL drama going on this year too:

Takeaways: Stars’ Mikko Rantanen sends Avalanche packing https://www.rawchili.com/nhl/11326/ There was no greater subplot in the first round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs than Rantanen suiting…

Next, lets laugh at Trump for a while, eh? Here are a few good posts: This is an excellent article, with some great comedy clips included as a bonus:
Groucho Marx, Mel Brooks and Stanley Kubrick envisioned Trump 2.0's first 100 days
What was once comedy is now our national tragedy.
...You don't really need to listen on cable TV to those pundits prattling on about the first 100 days of the criminal-in-chief's second term. The utter madness of Trump's presidency already was envisioned in comedies by Groucho Marx, Mel Brooks, Stanley Kubrick and others. And what was once comedy has turned into our national tragedy....
One of the clips Jay shares in this article is this great one from Blazing Saddles:
It is particularly apt, because I don't know if the American people realize that Trump's staff are just using Executive Orders to let Trump do little of any actual legality or importance - he thinks he's busy, busy, busy, all the time, with his blizzard of Executive Orders. But so much of it is just junk.
Now Trump wants his very own parade!

Trump's so-called tariff negotiations are ridiculous too:
Trump is the Godfather in Reverse
He’s making offers countries can’t accept
...The Canadian election, then, demonstrates why Trumpist trade policy, and foreign policy in general, is doomed to catastrophic failure. Trump isn’t trying to drive tough substantive bargains. Mainly, he seems to want to indulge in narcissism, demanding that other nations humiliate themselves so he can put on a display of dominance. And America doesn’t have remotely enough leverage, even against Canada, to make such demands. You could say that Trump is a reverse Godfather, making offers other countries can’t accept....
And Trump makes outlandish promises, then lies about achieving them:
The King of Bullshit Mountain.
It’s all a lie. All of it. Always.
...He’s a Russian nesting doll of bullshit—gas prices, the economy, that tomato-sauce-stain makeup he pretends is a tan, all of it. Patriot? Family man? Church-going genius? Business-savant? Please. He’s a malevolent Matryoshka made entirely of inadequacies and lies, each layer’s smaller, tackier, and somehow even more desperate than the last. Crack him open and it’s just an endless conga line of empty promises, supermarket hair dye, and the lingering aroma of fresh, Grade-A bullshit. Honestly, how the fuck does anyone look at this unhinged, evil jackass and still think he should be in charge? You’d have to be just as clueless and fucked up as he is.
And just when we thought Trump couldn't possibly get stupider: Congratulations now to Australia for rejecting their own version of a Trump-wannabe:

This is two global elections in ONE WEEK where the conservative candidate trying to become prime minister not only led his party to a big loss but lost their own seat in parliament (!) in huge upsets. We are global pariahs unseen since the end of the Cold War and need stronger domestic opposition.
