Don't tell Trump that he lost on Friday.

Breaking: Trump Just Surrendered To Canada
Mark Carney is a Goddamned revelation...
You want to know what power looks like? It’s Mark f*ing Carney ghosting America’s Rapist in Chief for three months, and ignored him all day yesterday, cutting America off at the knees, forcing Donald Trump to come crawling back today like the MAGA dog he is.
Carney saw the writing on the wall. Trump was trying to big-dick him for weeks—sending envoys, sliding into diplomatic DMs, probably even using Jared Kushner’s creepy little WhatsApp avatar. Crickets. Carney didn’t flinch. He iced Trump out like a Canadian January.
Then came yesterday. Canada cut ties. We pulled out of joint economic plans, froze intelligence sharing, started chatting with EU, Japan, and a few spicy little democracies who don’t try to overturn elections. Suddenly, Trump remembered we exist and made a panicked plea to Carney to not cut ties with America.
I’m hearing he almost begged the PM not to sever all ties with America and promised to respect the PM's office and Canada as a sovereign nation from now on.
Carney issued this cold memo, which reads very differently than Trump’s “I swear things will be better in Canada” social post.
It’s what the new leader of the freeworld says when he gives someone on more chance to prove they are worthy of associating with us. Which Trump is not:Donald. Came. Crawling. He begged Carney for a call. Not just a call. The call. The kind you make after you realize you just drunk-texted your ex that you miss her and she posted the screenshots.
Carney took the call. And made that walking indictment beg.
“The United States does not dictate Canadian economic or security priorities,” Carney said in a press conference afterward.
Our relationship with Mr. Trump’s America is over. We are not a province. We are not an extension of MAGA. And if the former president wants back in, he gets in line like everyone else.
Trump, clearly rattled, issued a statement that sounded like it was written by someone who just got dumped mid-prom. He actually called Carney “The Prime Minister of Canada.” Not “the Governor of the 51st state,” not “that guy who talks pretty,” but Prime f**ing Minister*....
I think Trump is having an Emily Litella moment now "Never mind!"

He is just babbling:
Meanwhile, back on the campaign trail, Poilievre has fallen and he can't get up.View on Threads
The National Post tried a big "expose" today about how Carney supposedly plagiarized his PhD thesis at Oxford, and his Oxford advisor clapped back immediately.

Also, it was reported on Friday that Poilievre's wife had a cousin who stayed in Canada six years ago, after his refugee claim was denied - which personally I don't think is a horrible crime at all but Conservatives do and Poilievre has slammed the Liberals for supposedly not doing enough about illegal immigration. Oopsie!
All of Poilievre's TV ads are about Canadians deserving a beautiful house in a safe neighbourhood protected by the Canadian military (wtf???), but the Conservatives don't seem to have actual plans for their wish lists.
Black Cloud Six: Unscripted
Canada Needs a Real Defence Policy. Only One Party Has OneAnd here's another perceptive piece of writing:
...Poilievre and the Conservatives don’t have a defence policy. Sure, Poilievre travelled to Iqaluit to announce a new “airbase,” additional Rangers, and two icebreakers, but there’s literally nothing else. ...The idea that “foreign aid” will pay for this fantastical “airbase” is ludicrous. An actual base in the North is a non-starter. Real bases have infrastructure and services. Families live there, and military spouses have careers of their own and rely on the local economy. None of this exists in a small Arctic city like Iqaluit—and cannot exist. We’re left with the conclusion that even this limited “plan” is smoke and mirrors.
Beyond this, there’s literally nothing aside from eliminating “wokism” and restoring a “warrior culture”—whatever that means. It’s the type of thing civilians say when they’ve watched too much American TV. ...

Prime Minister Poilievre? UnlikelyFinally, on a side note, there was another exceptional Canadian event yesterday -- this was heartfelt, authentic and sincere, and Wab Kinew has become an exemplar of how to be a great leader:
...Pierre isn’t just copying Trump for votes. He believes in this stuff. The authoritarian playbook, the culture war distractions, the tax-cuts-solve-everything myth it’s not just political strategy. It’s ideology.
And that’s what makes his decline so striking. As Trump’s America burns through its second term in chaos and cruelty, Canadians are recoiling and Poilievre is still mouthing the same lines.
Even as he slips in the polls, Pierre hasn’t changed his tune. No softening. No distancing. Just the same slogans, the same attacks, the same smug soundbites.
And maybe that’s the most revealing part. Because Pierre isn’t Trump. He’s Pierre Poilievre. But they’re cut from the same cloth and now Canadians know what that fabric really feels like.
And they don’t want to wear it.

saw trump speaking after his call with Carney. trump was a changed man. sometimes trump's body language says more than his mouth. Don't know what Carney said to him, but trump actually looked a tad deflated and perhaps even scared. It was around his eyes and his tone. Perhaps Carney explained economics to him or perhaps he has some insight into trump's personal finances. What ever transpired it looks like Carney is off to a good start.
My take on it is trump may have put too much faith in Putin and what he could accomplish which would benefit the U.S.A. Putin's latest suggestion has been Ukraine could be put under U.N. administered govt and hold new elections in Ukraine. My suggestion, sure right after Putin agrees to the same thing for Russia, free elections and the U.N. runs Russia for a bit
Trump usually uses phone calls as part of his childish dominance game.Yesterday he caved and made the call but more importantly, he called on time. He didn't make Carney wait.
US news is quiet the past couple of days . Trumpian incompetence is stalling is agenda. It happened last time but noy this quickly.
PP can't change his tune or soften it. It's all he knows. He's a petty vindictive man who learned his craft at the knee of another petty vindictive man while idolizing the petty vindictive men now in the White House. Besides, his Maple Maga followers crave their Two Minutes Hate and would eat him alive if he didn't deliver. So, it's F*ck Trudeau, pedal to the metal and cliff be damned.
Sadly ,within 2 hours JD Dunce was saying Canada cannot win a trade war while he was welcomed to Greenland.
I wonder what Trump expected when he started talking? I think he was surprised - Carney demands respect and doesn't shilly-shally. I also wonder if Trump is finding it hard to keep focus now, while so many things are going wrong.
"Watching the Poilievre presser right now. He has been clearly thrown off his game. Hesitant, stumbling on words, strange phrasing."
Too much TV here (the cellmates fault); I get to watch this way to often. My impression Is 'lil pp has taken his toddler style bumper sticker sentences and woven them into a nursery rhyme that outside the teleprompter he can't remember.
As my mom might comment if she were alive " He would screw uo the Lords prayer ....if he knew it"
Smart mom!
The conspiracy theories are just awful.
