Weekend stuff: Carney and Myers; more in Elbows Up!; Poilievre's problems; some funny posts; and Animal Crackers

Here's some funny stuff I have collected this week.

First, a cartoon -- and when you get it, you get it!
Next, this great clip has just exploded online:
(And by the way, Connor McDavid's number is 97.)

Moving on, I think Poilievre is going to have a difficult campaign. First, this was definitely a "Nelson" moment for Poilievre -- Ha Ha!:

Other "Canadianisms" posted in this thread:
Hurry hard
My husband's favorite, "Get bent!"
As a Canadian, one I love from my visit to St John’s, Newfoundland is “Who knit ya?” which means “Who are your parents?”
I’m Mike. From Canmore.
Expressing distance by time. “It’s about 45 min away.”
Can I get a medium double double?
Pardon me, I’m just gonna sneak on past ya …
As I was taking off my toque, it slipped from my hand and knocked my beaver tail into my poutine.
It’s a balmy -15 out today
That’s pretty skookum (in BC)
Keep yer stick on the ice
Don’t eat the yellow snow
“Look inside yourself, Rosemary”

1996 in Chalons-sur Saone, lunched with a fellow and his wife...he had retired from a job with Selmer (musical instruments) in Paris (your free-jazz sax factory clip brought this back to the surface). His task was to sit with star clients in a sound booth while they tried out either new instruments, or recently-adjusted/repaired/refurbished older instruments. Essentially, he was paid to have private concerts with people like Sonny Rollins.
