So at first glance, this story questioning Tim Walz's service record really does look innocuous -- another "just asking questions" article in the New York Times:

And in the meantime, some pundits are tut-tutting Democrats!...This is an extremely simple situation: JD Vance is lying about the military service of a fellow veteran for political gain. The story is extremely simple, and extremely important — and it is a story about JD Vance being a liar.Journalists have a responsibility to tell that story, the story about JD Vance smearing a fellow veteran. Vance and Donald Trump want the story to be about a controversy over Walz’s military service. But that isn't the real story, because there is no controversy. There is the truth — Walz retired before his unit was called up — and there is JD Vance lying. Liars telling lies does not make a controversy; it’s just a guy lying.Predictably, Vance and Trump are already getting a helping hand from the news media, which is privileging their lies....The first seven paragraphs of the New York Times article are devoted to recounting Vance’s false claims — without once even hinting at their falsity. The article portrays this as a problem for Walz instead of for Vance — and thus makes it so.This is a classic example of privileging the lie, a phrase I developed in 2008 while at Media Matters for America to describe news reports that centers a false claim (rather than centering its falsity) and thus helps the person making the false claim spread their lie instead of holding them accountable for lying....What Trump and Vance and the New York Times are doing is also a textbook example of “Swiftboating.” During the 2004 presidential campaign, Republicans — led by current Donald Trump advisor Chris LaCivita — smeared John Kerry over his service in Vietnam, where he served on Navy swift boats and was awarded three Purple Hearts. What JD Vance is doing is as disgusting as politics gets. Privileging his lies, as The New York Times has done, is as disgusting as journalism gets ...

But I think Kamala has got this:Trump is waiting for 2 things to happen. He needs a Swift Boat attack on Walz via RW trolls and the attack from “the left” on Harris using the Pro-Palestine Trolls/Useful Idiots to take hold. Once that happens he will be back on the trail with new attack material. #WhereIsDonald

Screenshotting so you can see this entire tweet from @DanteAtkins. It should be the main story in politics right now: While Vance does his best, the campaign has pulled Trump off the trail because he's unstable and raving like a lunatic in long Truth Social posts. pic.twitter.com/A7eXie2Wcp

And maybe Trump is really just losing it:.@Tim_Walz is a PSA for white folks, older folks, men, rural dwellers, and others: You don’t need to be afraid of the future.

I have a question:

WTF is "Kamabla"? and why does Trump think it's a clever nickname? Is it supposed to sound like "Obama?" If so, WTAF?
Or this just another of his Fat Elvis moments, where he's losing his touch? pic.twitter.com/5YdxmsCnIG
I guess this is why Chris LaCivita has JD Vance doing all of these events instead of Trump

Even his own campaign doesn't believe Trump is capable of campaigning for President
Sad!

Give the NYT a break. The Felon's poll numbers are dropping like a stone, all his criticisms of Biden's age now apply only to him, he's slurring his words as dementia sets in, and he hasn't the stamina for more than one circus rally a week. But the NYT's determined to have a horse race dammit! And worse, there's another woman at the head of the Democratic ticket! Man the swift boats!
Yeah, they just can't help themselves can they!
But its going to be such a close election that they have to be called out about this stuff, before other media pick up on it like they did with Hillary.
On the issue of Trump shifting topics and losing his train of thought . . . Trump had trains of thought?
Good one, PLG!
Add this to the role reversal!

What goes around , comes around! As Harris and Walz rise then Trump fails!
The right wing media are fuming that Harris doe not hold press conferences!
She needs to say nothing as Trump destroys himself.
