So last night Jagmeet Singh implied he just might support O'Toole and the Conservatives instead of Trudeau and the Liberals if there is another minority parliament -- a petulant clanger of a remark, particularly galling after we all watched Trudeau and the Liberals create the most progressive government Canadians have seen since the 60s, and for which Singh could take almost no credit at all!August 26th, 2021: "The political impact of the #Afghanistan crisis, and what the NDP leader said about working with the Conservatives" https://t.co/TxWu6kbcFp At Issue panel: @RosieBarton @elamin88 @acoyne @ChantalHbert @althiaraj // #elxn44 #CDNPoli 🇨🇦🇦🇫🟦

Trudeau announced today he intends to hike taxes on banks and insurance companies to improve our tax revenue picture -- to the usual consternation from the financial sector who are making record profits but apparently these companies will all go crazy and take our economy with them if they cannot keep it all the money to themselves. Poor guys!Updated @338Canada Federal Model:

On this reasoning, if we charged the banks & insurance companies NO TAXES AT ALL then we would all be saving tons of money on interest rates and fees.
Yeah, sure.....https://t.co/friNCPqrBc
Ever notice that these articles always read like a M.A.D. strategy, like if we ever tax those with money they're going to nuke the very economy they exist within. https://t.co/dvSMtHe4qL

"Experts" aka the soul sucking acolytes for the continued appropriation of surplus value from the middle class . More unproductive user fees, more CC rates at 25 times the rate of cost of borrowing . God save us from the self serving , know-nothing , pocket lining experts https://t.co/oJldd90Px6

The other news tonight was all Afghanistan (bad) and COVID (worse) -- just too many tweets and comments for me to gather together a sample grouping for tonight. So here's just a couple more random tweets that I liked:O’Toole doesn’t understand the depth of devastation and the shock waves felt around the world after those graves were discovered. His comments are dismissive and degrading. He’s an utter fool. There’d be no reconciliation with him as PM. He disgusts me. https://t.co/mYz8J1MdOK

So if I understand this correctly, the same geniuses made Brexit a reality are helping Erin O’Toole sell his pay for play healthcare experiment?
