Tonight has shown, beyond any shadow of doubt, that universal access to safe and affordable abortion care is incredibly popular. When Kansas votes 2:1 to support abortion care, I think the conversation on “public debate” is pretty much over.

Republican men don’t realize how many pro-choice Republican women there are. I’m including the ones who tell pollsters they are pro-life.

No one is hating the results in Kansas more than six members of SCOTUS tonight.

…5 weeks later…
“No, that’s not what we meant!l!”
This is every Republican elected official who's been mouthing pro-life pieties for years, has become more extreme in his proclamations recently as he drifted along with currents on the Right...and who's now hearing about the Kansas referendum results. pic.twitter.com/S6pVCIM31D

Incredibly stupid!I’m a one issue voter. When I see the word “Republican,” I ignore the candidate.

How incredibly stupid! We have learned how to deal with Covid -- we get vaccinated, we wear masks, we social-distance, we wash our hands, we don't take unnecessary risks in crowds, we stay away from crowded indoor places. THAT is how we all "Learn to live with the virus"!My employer is getting rid of all masking & other COVID-19 precautions in a month. Why? Because they want us to “learn to live with the virus.” The whole point is that some people can’t. They die, they get chronically ill. From a “culture of care” to a culture of who cares?

The Conservatives in your feed are frothing over a voluntary and incentive based fertilizer cut and when confronted with this are reduced to 'But what if he's lying?'

A fear based on Trudeau derangement syndrome is unconvincing to people who aren't suffering from it.#cdnpoli pic.twitter.com/d8HmSP9Ftr
Here's the latest Saskatoon scandal:The fertilizer narrative is ridiculous spin and manufactured outrage. Only stupid people fall for that shit. Check out this thread. https://t.co/CkIx8B7SN2

And Vin Scully died today. I used to watch the Dodgers games just to hear him call them. What a loss:The Sask. government says it hasn't received any complaints about Christian Centre Academy since it began receiving provincial funding in 2012. But former students say that's not true, and provided CBC with recent email exchanges with Education Minister Dustin Duncan's office. pic.twitter.com/ejKUSaYOZH

1 comment:
That story of abuse at Saskatoon's Christian Centre Academy, now called Legacy Christian Academy, is appalling. According to the CBC, the Crown is unlikely to charge anyone before April 2023, even though they now have the file from Saskatoon police! I'd like to know why the police themselves didn't lay charges, which is the usual procedure. There's a strong whiff of politics to this story, especially with the government taking a "we know nothing" approach.
