Again, “Everyone is entitled to their opinion” means you can’t tell someone they’re wrong for liking rocky road over Neapolitan. It doesn’t mean you can wrap bigotry, ignorance or misinformation in the veneer of an “opinion” and expect others to give it respect or consideration.

It was appalling today to see all the pearl-clutching because a couple of Marines were standing at attention behind Biden while he spoke in Philadelphia last night.

The "But the Marines!" meme seems to be a way to focus on trivial optics and avoid discussing the significance of Biden's speech.
