Mr. Charest was met with boos that nearly drowned out his comments when he criticized Mr. Poilievre for supporting the trucker protests, that shuttered downtown Ottawa for most of February and prompted intermittent closings at several border crossings.Mr. Poilievre “supported an illegal blockade,” Mr. Charest said. “You cannot make laws and break laws.”“The average trucker has more integrity in his pinky finger than you had in your entire scandal-plagued Liberal cabinet,” Mr. Poilievre said in response, referring to Mr. Charest’s time as Quebec Premier.
So far, Mr. Poilievre has attracted the largest crowds and the most cash. Newly released fundraising numbers show that by the end of March, Mr. Poilievre had raised $545,298 from 3,336 donors. Following close behind is Mr. Charest, who raised $490,088 but from just 572 donors. At $225,751, Ms. Lewis fell well short in the total cash raised but attracted far more donors than Mr. Charest with 1,456 people contributing to her campaign.By the end of March, Mr. Brown raised $115,775 from 73 donors; Mr. Aitchison raised $90,945 from 70 people; and Mr. Baber $53,987 from 475 donors.

For those tuned into debate I've two observations from in depth polling we have been doing . 1) PP has a massive lead with CPC and PPC voters and is steaming to victory 2) supporter profile on climate denial, opposition to vaccines/mandates, immigration , vis min, etc. to follow

And still, Trudeau's F-bomb reverberated:Lots of criticism of “woke culture” and “cancel culture” and “mandates” —just interesting. Not a single word about the Canadians who died during the pandemic or the health care workers who worked overtime. It’s all been about anti mandates and anti lockdowns. #cdnpoli

Wow, the CPC is suddenly very concerned about the word “Fuck” being inappropriate.

Where would the PM even have learned a word like that?#cdnpoli #cdnpolitics pic.twitter.com/FGmlZU20y0
Remember, Mazie rules! To #CPC : You're in love with the sight of your base posting F-Trudeau on shirts, trucks and Social media. You have ZERO moral authority on language others use. You must think Hypocrisy is a winning jackass. You never stop riding it. https://t.co/ZNTILPTKoH

In a New York Times interview, Esper said this:If Trump wins in 2024, assume he’ll find people who will say “yes” to this sort of thing. https://t.co/WnfhihG6gR

Pressed on his view of Mr. Trump, Mr. Esper ... said carefully but bluntly, “He is an unprincipled person who, given his self-interest, should not be in the position of public service.”

When this war is over, and Ukraine is a peaceful, democratic state in the European Union, people are going to look back at the last four months and be shocked at how so many people in Europe and North America denied Ukraine any agency for such a long time.
— Phillips P. OBrien (@PhillipsPOBrien) May 5, 2022
In other news, May 5th is a memorable date:The great lesson of this war so far destroys all these analyses. Ukraine gets to decide Ukraine’s future because it choose to fight for itself and is winning the war. Maybe we should start talking about what Ukraine wants.

Over a decade ago, MΓ©tis artist Jaime Black inspired the red dress movement with the REDress project.

The art installation placed 600 red dresses in public spaces across Canada to raise awareness for #MMIWG2S, making the red dress a symbol of this ongoing genocide. #RedDressDay pic.twitter.com/o1hDPKBpps

May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women & Girls. It is widely recognized as Red Dress Day. This group wanted to bring awareness of the day through song. @NTVNewsNL pic.twitter.com/RXnTUyFFi7

And one of the problems we now need to track is worker camps -- I had not realized the impact of worker camps on the MMIWG2S issue:Today, to mark Red Dress Day and to honour, remember and raise awareness about Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, Creative Action students created black-out poetry pieces.#MMIWG#NoMoreStolenSisters pic.twitter.com/uEyqIBPB80
